Spring Awakening Auditions
General InformationIn place of in-person auditions, this year we will be accepting video submissions for our production of Spring Awakening. Video auditions will be accepted until Thursday, June 4 at 12PM, with callbacks tentatively scheduled for Saturday, June 5 or Sunday, June 6. The first few weeks of rehearsal may take place remotely, with in person rehearsals to follow. Performances will take place July 24-26, 2020.
We are currently working with the licensing and production company to present this show with a limited audience, based on the guidelines in place at the time of performance, with the option to livestream. Should we not be able to open the performances to audience members, the hope is that the production will be live-streamed across the country. These contractual logistics are currently being negotiated, and details will be shared as soon as they become available. Since this show only includes 13 cast members, we are confident that we will be able to hold rehearsals that abide by the current social distancing and re-opening guidelines. Actors will have their temperature taken before they enter the rehearsal space, masks will be provided, and we've secured enough hand sanitizer to provide a personal supply to each cast member, in addition to hand sanitizer that will be available throughout the space. The safety of the actors, our staff, and crew is our number one priority, which is why we have consulted professionals, and developed a plan that has safety as the central focus. |
Audition Materials
**You must be 17 years of age by July 24, 2020 to audition. If you're currently 16 years of age, we will accept your audition, as long as we receive parental consent prior to casting.** DISCLAIMER: This show is intended for mature audiences.
