​Recording Guidelines - PLEASE READ THESE
  1. Please record while wearing headphones! We don’t want to hear the track, just your voice! 
  2. Don’t alter or filter your voice! 
  3. Try no to scoop or do riffs that aren’t written. 
  4. You MUST USE THE TRACK we provide. We’ve had to cut people because tempos don’t line up.
  5. RECORDING: Videotape yourself VERTICALLY. NO HORIZONTAL VIDEOS!
  6. ATTIER: Wear your Hairspray shirt if you have one.
  7. Please have emotion, and feel free to act! It will make the video that much better.
  8. When you're done, please email your videos to [email protected]. You can also upload to Drive or Dropbox and share them with us as well! If texting them is easier, please text them to Jack. If you don't have his number, send him a message!

Directions

PART 1 - RECORD VOCALS
  1. Please record while wearing headphones! We don’t want to hear the track, just your voice!  If you want, you may record JUST AN AUDIO TRACK or a video for vocals. Please make sure to use the best quality microphone you have available! 
  2. Don’t alter or filter your voice! 
  3. Try no to scoop or do riffs that aren’t written. 
  4. You MUST USE THE TRACK we provide. We’ve had to cut people because tempos don’t line up.
PART 2 - RECORD DANCE
  1. Watch the video of Kim explaining changes to choreography.
  2. Watch the production video. We’ve overlaid footage of Kim making said changes in the video.
  3. Record! Record vertically so we can see your whole body! Make sure to mouth your words but you don’t have to actually sing. 

BLAKE - Do whatever you want. Maybe even a backflip (but don’t sacrifice your vocals).

JANA & GRACE - Please record your parts in front of a solid color wall. It doesn’t matter what color. Try your best to have even lighting and minimal shadows. We’re going to attempt to digitally place you in the same room.
